Our Hand Artisan Collective is devoted to sustaining the sacred legacy of Tanjavur (Tanjore) Art, one of South India’s most revered classical traditions. By translating divine art onto fabric, we allow timeless devotion to move beyond temple walls and become part of lived culture.

Each creation is crafted by skilled artisans, carrying generations of discipline, cultural wisdom, and spiritual intent — transforming sacred art into wearable heritage.

A Legacy Rooted in History

Originating in the Chola era and nurtured under the patronage of the Nayak and Maratha dynasties, Tanjavur art has long been an expression of devotion, prosperity, and grace. Its intricate detailing, divine imagery, and symbolic richness reflect centuries of artistic and spiritual heritage.

By bringing this sacred art onto fabric, we honour its sanctity while preserving its relevance for rituals, celebrations, and meaningful occasions.

Guided by My Guru — Mrs. Nalini

A heartfelt part of this journey is my revered Tanjore art teacher, Mrs. Nalini — a remarkable mentor who has guided me with patience, wisdom, and devotion throughout my artistic path.

Her teachings remind me that every art project is divine, and that sacred art must be created with intention, discipline, and respect. Under her guidance, our work remains rooted in authenticity, reverence, and spiritual integrity.

This collective carries not only artistic skill — but guru krupai, tradition, and sacred purpose.

he Hand Artisan Collective operates entirely as a non-profit initiative, created with the sole purpose of serving artisans, preserving heritage, and uplifting the community.

All projects are produced in limited editions and pre-order formats.

This is not a commercial venture.
It is seva — dedicated to art, artisans, and heritage.
